It is good to know if your batteries are any good. This tool lets you know which batteries are good and which need to be replaced. It is quick and effective.
This battery tester is so easy to use. We have a "collection" of batteries but I never felt comforatable getting rid of batteries just because they were old. When they acted up, we jsut put atag on them, "Don't Use". With this tester it only takes seconds to test them after they come off the charger. The definative Good- Fair - Bad grade makes the decision to keep or get rid of batteries easy.
We use this for both FRC and FTC. Quick and easy way to keep up with battery charge and condition to avoid a robot dying mid-competition.
The Battery Beak is easy to use and provides quick results. So far, we have only used the battery load test function. Page 6 of the manual was all that was needed to set up and test battery status. The Battery Beak identified batteries that appeared to be good but failed under load. Also discovered that after resting batteries for 24 hours following charging, some of our batteries were not reaching/holding 100% charge. With the Battery Beak, we can now go into competitions confident in our batteries.
Every FTC should be required to have at least one. We had battery issues last season and a team from Midland allowed us to use their tester and it saved the day. To put it short - get one. Terry Nelson Plainview HS Teams 8707, 9071, 10559, 11773, 12975, 14813
