Too long
The cables are good, but they are too long. The only reason for us to use this cable is to covert the plug type to match the Rev controller. It would be nice if you sold different lengths.

It was so great to receive these cables guickly. Our robot at competition had two wires have loose insulation which caused robot to stop. We only had three extras left thank you

Cable is too long
The cable quality is ok and can meet the general use. The cable ends connected to plug pins are often broken. The cables are too long and need more room to store them. FTC robot normally will use up to 6 cables. If the cables have short version and can be connected together to fit a long one, that will be a better design for easy robot assembly.

Quick Shipping
Easy and quick shipping. I wish Andy Mark would reduce prices to be competitive with production parts.

No problems
I ordered 4 of these to regulate motor output (NeveRest motors with 40:1 and 3.7:1 gearboxes) on FTC Team 5115's robot and they work with no problems.

"Motor connection end: wires fray easily"
"We have had a tough time with this connector at the motor's end. The motor is mounted on a tilting platform so there is some movement. The wires from the connector keep fraying because there is little stress relief for the wire thickness used. Make sure the connector isn't moving or add some stress relief if it does move."

BZZZ
It works. It's a good price.
-
great expectations.
Have not actually used your motors yet but we are planning builds over our break.
-
Not bad
Cables work as expected however the red cables were not crimped properly so easily pull out of connector. This happened on half of the cables. We just soldered them back in.
-
Good Solid Connector
These cables are great! They are more rigid than the cables for the TETRIX motors, which is great! While they are more rigid, they are also completely flexible.

encoder cable
Customer service is excellent, shipping time and order processing is outstanding. Item came quickly and in great condition. Wish cables could be ordered in customer lengths.

cable is nicely made.
The cable has good secure connectors and is well made.

High Quality - Low Cost
In the world of youth robotics, where nearly everything is either expensive to completely cost-prohibitive, it's a relief to find a high quality product that's actually affordable!

Not yet tested
I am so thrilled to finally have a cable that is not so tiny that it breaks every time it is touched (Tetrix encoder wires). We will see how well they work, but they are definitely better for use with students.
-
"OK, but..."
"The way these are constructed makes them very easy to fray and break the wires unless handled very carefully. (AndyMark response: We found a few in an early batch that had some issues on being re-worked, please contact us at sales@andymark.com if you feel you have a bad cable.)"

Working great so far (for the last 4 months)

seems good
encoders seem good
-
sweet
love it and the motor
-
it's a cable!
and it works like a cable! Only downside is that the connectors are both a bit large for fitting through the large holes on some of the building sets.
-
On time and looking forward to using them
Looking forward to using them with our new Modern Robotics Motor Controller.

NeveRest 40 motor/encoder compatible
This cable allows easy connection to the FTC control system to measure encoder pulses

"suffered a short after mild use"
"wire insulation i not adequate at the controller end - you will likely suffer a short down the road after moderate use. (AndyMark Response: We found a batch of our first encoder cables to not have the insulation on the wire all the way to the connector, if you feel this is causing an issue on your robot, please email sales@andymark.com and we can replace your cable for you)"

Cables
Very thick and solid. A little bit hard to fit in the tetrix controllers, but very good.

Hall effect encoder cable
Easy to use harness with strain relief, a no brainer for use with the NeveRest motors
-
necessary, but not confidence inspiring
Would be nice if: 1. keyed connector 2. wire gauge was smaller so the insulation fit in the crimp on pins on the motor controller end. On the other hand, the USDigital encoder cables tend to be brittle and these seem stronger. Maybe something to keep the bare wire out of trouble at the motor controller connector would help. (Hot melt glue has been suggested).

"Best encoder cable for the job!"
"Please note to use more than one cable connector into the Tetrix FTC motor controller, one needs to remove the small internal micro plates (guides) for proper plug in fit, which also limits one to using only this connection design. But these are better than all the others both in quality and price. So it's not a big deal."

Still have difficulty putting both the encoders
Unable to put both the encoders onto the same controller.

Cable
There are no extensions sold for this product. It was very disappointing not to be able to connect our motor to our DC controller -- the cable was not long enough.
-
"Work, but not perfect"
"The encoders in the motors work well with the cables. However, if the cables are bent sideways at the motor controller, the insulation pulls back and the uninsulated bare wires underneath are exposed, leading to the possibility of shorts. The black connector is also not the right one for the HiTechnic motor controller encoder input (too tight, not keyed), though it does fit with some effort. I hope AndyMark comes out with an updated version that allows the cables to be bent without exposing the bare wires and with the correct connector for the motor controller."

"Study Cables"
"The comparable cables for the other legal FTC motors are less sturdy and very easy to break."

Always dependable
I know when I place an order with Andy Mark that we'll get what we need and get it fast. If only every company had such great service. Thank you Andy Mark
