The NeveRest 60 is a gearmotor with an attached encoder. The output shaft geometry and the gearbox housing diameter is similar to what FTC teams are familiar with. The shaft is a 6 mm D and the gearbox housing is 37 mm diameter.

FIRST Legality:
- According to the FIRST Tech Challenge Game Manual Part 1, Rule RE10, this is legal for the 2020-2021 FTC Game.
- According to the FIRST Robotics Challenge Game Manual, Rule R27, this is legal for the 2020-2021 FRC Game as it uses the NeveRest am-3104 motor.
Encoder:
There is an encoder mounted to the backside of this motor. It is a 7 pulses per revolution (ppr), hall effect encoder. Since the motor's gearbox has a 60:1 reduction, then the NeverRest 60 output shaft provides 420 ppr.

"I have found that your products are generally quite satisfactory. I have found, however, that some of the sensors, the color sensor for instance, does not work as expected with the ftc example code. With help from your support staff, I have been able to sort that out, but with the huge number of ftc users, in my opinion, it would be worth the effort to sort that out before next season."

We use our NeveRest 60 for our dual pinion lifter and it has worked like a champ! Our next step is to add the encoder wiring and incorporate that into our coding for the lifting arm..... NeveRest 60 motor
Very powerful motor that we use to hang our robot. One of these motors will lift a 45# robot in under 30 seconds. Now that is lifting story.
