Retaining rings are used to hold components onto a shaft when installed. The ring is opened using Retaining Ring Pliers (am-4013) and released into a groove on a shaft. The retaining ring then prevents components from moving past it. This retaining ring fits on a groove for 0.5 in. diameter shafts. You can find this retaining ring in our RAW Box gearbox.
