This gear is used as the input pinion gear for the EVO Shifter.
Pinion Installation:
The 15 Tooth 32DP pinion gear does not use a key for torque transfer. There are two possible methods of installation of this pinion on a CIM or NEO style motor. In both methods an aluminum spacer (am-3552) can be used to set the depth from the end of the motor shaft if using these pinions in any of our EVO gearboxes that require it.
If you are are unable or uncomfortable performing these procedures, we recommend purchasing a motor with the pinion pre-installed. They are available as am-0255_15T for the CIM or am-4258a_15T for the NEO.

I purchased 10 of these pinions and not a single one was a press fit, all were slip fit. We are using these on our drive train. Our entire FRC season is now on the fact that the Locktite 271 will hold. Not a really good feeling.
