Product Overview
Different durometer ratings give each wheel unique characteristics. Green wheels (35A durometer) are the softest and most compliant around objects, while orange (40A), maroon (45A), blue (50A), and black (60A) wheels are increasingly firm. The increased firmness also allows the latter wheels to carry a higher RPM rating. Check out the downloads tab for a chart showing wheels and their maximum RPM.

Compliant wheels
The green ones are pretty soft but work as drive wheels even if they are not intended for it. The black ones are pretty hard. I have not had the ones in between but wish I bought them instead of the black ones.

compliant wheels
we recently purchased both the 3" and the 4" compliant wheels. while we are happy with the wheels, it would have been better to have the hole pattern option for actobotics on all the wheels

Easy to install and hard to break.
In my 4 years in robotics, I have yet to see a broken compliant wheel. These things can stand up against lots of abuse. I would like to see an even softer wheel then the ones currently available.
