Product Overview
This is the "500EX Hex Hub" the bore is a 1/2" Hex Hole. It is a slightly different version of the 500 Hex Hub. It is manufactured differently, as it is extruded. Also, there is a 1.124" diameter boss on each side of the hub flange, providing a location for 1.125" bore flat sprockets. Are you having a hard time keeping your sprocket concentric with your hub? This hub is the trick.

Excellent low-cost wheel hubs!
FRC Team #1519, Mechanical Mayhem, used a pair of these hubs on each live axle shaft to mount 4" HiGrip Wheels on our 2014 Robot for our 8WD. We played 63 official matches this year, without any failures of the hubs or reasons to complain about them. One of the best aspects of this COTS product is that FRC rules allow unmodified hubs to be re-used on future robots -- a big advantage to having to make custom hubs every year!

Hex hubs make great winch hubs
Used our hex hubs on the hex output shaft of our winch gearbox. They made the perfect size hub to wrap our strap and we easily tapped some #10 bolt holes into the hubs to attach the strap. Thanks Andymark for another great product
