AprilTags are a part of the 2023 Field, used by vision systems to generate positioning data. The 2023 field will contain AprilTag targets in addition to retroreflective targets. An AprilTag library will be available through FIRST for use with the roboRIO. FIRST also expects that many community solutions will likely be able to detect these tags as well.

The tags are 8.125 in. x 8.125 in. stickers made from matte vinyl and are sourced from the same vendor that makes the stickers for FIRST.
