PG Gearmotors

The Planetary Gearbox (PG) series of gearmotors feature robust planetary gearing inside paired with reliable motors. You asked for it, we delivered. This gearmotor features hex output shaft options to easily attach to 3/8 in. or 1/2 in. hex bore wheels, sprockets, and other motion products without the need for adapters.

The PG Series of Planetary Gearboxes are designed for the following motors for the specific ratios RS775-125 Motor, with Encoder For PG27 Gearbox and RS775-5 Motor, with Encoder For PG71 and PG188 Gearbox.

PG27 Specifications:

• No Load Free Speed: 198 RPM
• Stall Torque: 6.3 ft/lbf
• Minimum Backdrive Torque: ~0.3 ft/lbs

Encoder Specifications:

• Pulses Per Revolution: 7
• Operating Voltage: 5VDC
• Pinout:
  • Pin 1: 5Vdc
  • Pin 2: Gnd
  • Pin 3: Encoder Output Cha. A
  • Pin 4: Encoder Output Cha. B

Note: Because the encoder is connected to the back of the motor shaft, the rotation is backward from normal front-mounted encoders. You will need to compensate for this in software or simply connect Ch. A output to your Ch. B input and Ch. B output to your Ch. A input.
