Electronics are the power and brains behind every incredible robot and machine. Figuring out all the individual pieces needed to make a robot go can be
tedious which is why we've made it easy with this electronic bundles builder page!
This builder is focused on a smaller sized robot using SPARKmini brushed motor controllers. Think FTC sized robots, 1-2 foot cubed sized.

A Few Recommended Options:
- BCLM4XU - This bundle utilizes the RadioLink with SparkMini brushed motor controllers and an unfused power distribution block making it incredibly easy to get a basic robot up and running. Combine this with a mecanum mixer (am-5212) and you're on your way to a functional mecanum drive.
- BCNM4XU - This bundle is exactly like the one above, it's just without the RadioLink. This bundle is awesome for FTC teams hoping to add more motors to their robot without adding an Expansion hub. NOTE: you will get a Servo Range Extender (am-5164) for each motor, and these are NOT legal per FTC rules.
Electronic bundles product numbers are built to identify components within the code. Below is the breakdown of how these part numbers are built.
- The first two positions identifies the
product
number:
- BC - Bundle for Controls
- The third position identifies the controller and will come with components needed to hook it up (see link):
- L - RadioLink - a simplistic approach of a simple Radio Control with limited programming capability in the controller
- N - No Processor - so you'll need to have your own controller.
- L - RadioLink - a simplistic approach of a simple Radio Control with limited programming capability in the controller
- The fourth position identifies the motor controller
and will come with the components needed to hook it up (see link):
- M - SPARKmini Brushed DC Motor Controller is our only option for this bundle
- The fifth position identifies the quantity of motors
this bundle is designed to work with and includes the wires needed to hook them up:
- 1 - One Motors
- 2 - Two Motors
-
3 - Three Motors
- 4 - Four Motors
-
5 - Five Motors
- The sixth position identifies the type of motor:
- X - As there is so many options of motors, we leave this up to you and this is always an X for this product, please be sure to use motors that are compatible with the SPARKmini Brushed DC Motor Controller.
- Please note: You will also get a Servo Range Extender with these kits that are NOT legal for FTC.
- The seventh position identifies the type of power distribution
and will come with components needed to hook them up (see links):
- F - XT30 Fused Power Distribution Board - replaceable fuses allow additional protection for changing robot requirements
- U - Unfused XT30 Power Distribution Block - designed for FTC and simple robot construction with XT30 connections
